Camp
Released 4 years ago in 2022. Camp is a feature film. directed by Lee Campbell. At just 3 minutes, it's a tight, focused story.
Synopsis
Reminiscent of the past and B&W television, this short poetry film contains monochrome hand-drawn pencil drawings in black of Butlins holiday camp in Minehead, U.K that I made whilst on holiday there in 1990 and poetry that I wrote in 2022. Appearing like the O2 ‘dome’ in London, the drawings show the amazing contrast between the modern (the surreal architecture of Butlins) and the past (the mock-tutor cottages including the streetlamp, so reminiscent of Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple).
