Synopsis
Thirty-two years after leaving Güímar (Tenerife, Canary Islands) to live a life consistent to her sexual identity, free of the existing social prejudices in her hometown, Carla Antonelli returns to reconnect with her memories and take stock of her life. Carla’s Journey explores the meaning of Carla’s inner road back home. She is one of the most relevant gender equality activists in Spain, a reference for the national and international LGBT community, an actress, TV presenter and - since 2011 - a representative in the Assembly of Madrid.
