Synopsis
The legend of the origin of several islands off the coast of Chukotka. The story begins with an Eskimo hunter named Kanak raising his son Tagrak with his wife, teaching him to be brave and decisive. Years later, when the boy becomes an adult, he refuses to start a family because giant eagles living nearby kidnap children and ravage the tundra and the sea. Tagrak leaves home to fight the eagles for the sake of his family's future.
