Synopsis

4 stars plus instead of a dull hospital standard - David-Ruben Thies, Managing Director of the Waldkliniken in Eisenberg, Thuringia, has an ambitious plan. He dreams of the hospital of the future: a comfortable patient hotel, designed by star architects, with organic food and a fireplace - ALSO for patients with health insurance. Every patient, regardless of whether they are legally or privately insured, is treated as a guest. A place where innovative care concepts are combined with medical quality and the best working conditions for the staff. But his goal is actually much larger: he wants to set new standards with his patient hotel and revolutionize healthcare from the inside. To do this, he shakes conventions, habits and political guidelines.
